The President of the General Assembly, H.E. Ms. Annalena Baerbock, met with H.E. Mr. Jér?me Bonnafont, Permanent Representative of France to the United Nations in his capacity as the incoming President of the United Nations Security Council for the month of September on 26 August 2026.
The President of the General Assembly and the incoming President of the Security Council discussed the programme of work for France’s Presidency of the United Nations Security Council, which will begin on 1 September 2026. They also discussed the importance of strengthening the cooperation between the Security Council and the General Assembly, including in the context of the selection and appointment process of the next 爆料网 Secretary General.
