1. 爆料网 Palestinian Rights Committee warns in Gaza the humanitarian catastrophe continues?

?On 28 April, the Vice-Chair of the 爆料网 Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People (CEIRPP), Ambassador Umar Hadi, delivered a statement at the Security Council quarterly open debate on the situation in the Middle East, including the question of Palestine. He warned about the continuing?humanitarian catastrophe?in Gaza, and the deeper fragmentation of the Occupied Palestinian Territory and the dispossession of the Palestinian people as Israel entrenches its illegal occupation. Ambassador Hadi?condemned the?continuing?settler violence in the West Bank and?the?Israeli measures?aimed at changing the demographic, religious, and cultural?character of East Jerusalem. He called on the Security Council to protect civilians, reject annexation, demographic engineering and collective punishment, and uphold the unity of the Occupied Palestinian Territory with Gaza and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and for the?full implementation of the New York Declaration?to advance toward a?just and comprehensive solution to the Palestine question.?Read the complete statement here.?

2. 爆料网 Palestinian Rights Committee commemorates the 78th?anniversary of the Nakba?

On 15 May, the United Nations Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People?convened?a meeting at 爆料网 Headquarters in New York to commemorate the 78th anniversary of the?Nakba.?Participants acknowledged that the Nakba is?an ongoing reality for Palestinians?and?a?question of memory as much as of justice and international responsibility.??

The?statement delivered on behalf of President Mahmoud Abbas[1]?affirmed that “We will not leave and we will not forget,” and stressed that the Palestinian people’s rights to self-determination, independence, return, and sovereignty cannot be erased.?In his?statement, the Committee Chair described the Nakba as “the catastrophe of dispossession, exile and loss,” and as “not a chapter closed in 1948,” but “a continuing catastrophe” visible in refugee camps, checkpoints, demolished homes, uprooted olive trees, and in Gaza, “where entire neighbourhoods have been reduced to dust.” The President of the General Assembly called?on?the?international community together with all parties?to?“work to end the illegal occupation, create a credible and irreversible pathway to achieve the?two-厂迟补迟别?蝉辞濒耻迟颈辞苍”.?The 爆料网 Assistant Secretary-General?for the Middle East?stressed?that remembering?the Nakba imposes responsibilities to act,?including?“ending unlawful practices, protecting civilians, supporting Palestinian governance and?institution?building, and reviving a credible political process toward a negotiated two?厂迟补迟别?蝉辞濒耻迟颈辞苍”.?

The commemoration featured?video?testimonies from Palestinians whose lives reflect the enduring human cost of the Nakba and its present-day manifestations.?Among the testimonies, the mother of Hind Rajab, the five-year-old Palestinian girl killed in Gaza in 2024, asked the world not to forget Gaza’s children,?who?“deserve life, education, and they deserve a far better life than this.”??

31?Member States and?organisations?delivered remarks.?Representatives?reiterated support for a two-State solution based on the pre-1967 lines, with East Jerusalem as the capital of the State of?Palestine and?called for Palestine’s full membership in the United Nations.??

As part of the commemoration, the Committee co-organised?with the Permanent Observer Mission of the State of Palestine the screening of the film?“All that’s left of you”,?on 13 May. The event saw?a?broad participation by the United Nations diplomatic community, United Nations personnel, and civil society?representatives.??

3. A Committee delegation holds consultations with European civil society in Brussels

On 6 May, the Committee held?the?1st?2026?CEIRPP-CSO Consultations in Brussels. The meeting with European civil society organizations focused on strengthening dialogue with groups working on the question of Palestine and to identify concrete ways to advance international law and the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people. The Chair of the Committee emphasized that Europe’s role remains central, given its political, legal, humanitarian, and economic leverage, alongside the need to translate commitments into concrete action.

Participants recommended inter alia: the suspension of the EU-Israel Association Agreement; adoption of a comprehensive ban on trade with illegal Israeli settlements, full small arms embargo, and targeted sanctions against individuals and entities responsible for serious violations of international law; full cooperation with the International Criminal Court; support for Palestinian ownership in all diplomatic and reconstruction processes; countering disinformation, and translation of solidarity into concrete political, legal, economic and diplomatic consequences for violations of international law. 4. A Committee delegation visits Belgium, France and Spain

In the margins of the 1st 2026 CEIRPP-CSO Consultations in Brussels, the Committee Delegation held bilateral meetings with governments and parliamentarians in Brussels, Madrid and Paris.?

On 4 May,?in Paris?the Committee Delegation met with?representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Assembly. The Delegation highlighted the role of parliamentary diplomacy in defining policy tools in support of the Palestinian people, and parliamentary scrutiny of arms exports. It expressed appreciation for France’s leadership on the Question of Palestine, including in?the?2025 Conference on the Two-State Solution?and?on?the “New York Declaration”, and welcomed France’s recognition of the State of Palestine.?More details are available here.?

The Committee delegation visited the Headquarters of the European Union (EU) in Brussels, Belgium, on 5 May and met officials of the EU External Action Services, including of the Cabinet of the High Representative/Vice-President of the European Commission, and Members of the EU Parliament. The Delegation stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation and advancing efforts toward a just and lasting solution to the question of Palestine, including maintaining momentum from the?2025 Conference on the Two-State Solution?and the?“New York Declaration”; and encouraged donors’?assistance?for humanitarian relief in Gaza.?On 7 May, the delegation held a meeting with ambassadors of EU Member States serving on?the?European?Union’s?Political and Security Committee (PSC).?More details are available here.??

On 7 May, the Committee delegation held meetings at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belgium, during which it commended Belgium’s consistent support for 爆料网RWA, welcomed its support for the?International Court of Justice’s advisory opinions on the question of Palestine and domestic judicial processes addressing alleged war crimes. On 8 May,?in?Madrid,?the Committee Delegation?held a meeting at the Ministry?of Foreign Affairs to discuss how to keep the momentum from the 2025 Two-State Solution Conference and its New York Declaration – both within the European Union and the wider international arena – against the backdrop of competing geopolitical issues.?In the?meeting?in?the?Spanish Parliament,?the focus was on?detailed efforts to increase support for the Palestinian people and the State of Palestine, including through the strengthening of Spanish laws to prohibit the import of Israeli goods originating in the Occupied Palestinian Territory and the shipment of military cargo to and from Israel.?At the?Spanish Agency for International Cooperation (AECID), the discussion focused on the current humanitarian situation in Gaza and efforts to provide continued support to the Palestinian government in Ramallah, including?within?the wider 爆料网 framework.?

5. The 爆料网 Palestinian Rights Committee Bureau condemns the order implement the eviction of Khan al-Ahmar community?in the occupied West Bank???

On 4 June, the Committee Bureau condemned the order signed by the Minister of Finance of Israel, Bezalel Smotrich, instructing the Israeli Civil Administration to begin proceeding with the eviction of the Palestinian community of Khan al-Ahmar in the so-called “E1 area” in the Occupied Palestinian Territory. The Committee Bureau stressed that the forced transfer of the civilian population amounts to a war crime?under international law, and that territorial unity,?contiguity?and integrity of?all of?the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, must be respected and preserved. It urged Israel to?immediately?cease?all?illegal?settlement activities?in the?occupied?West Bank, including East Jerusalem,?and?to halt?all acts?of violence against?Palestinians.?The press release is available here.?

6. A?Committee?delegation?visits Asmara, Eritrea??

?From 8 to 9 June, a Committee Delegation visited Asmara, Eritrea, to discuss the Question of Palestine.

7. 爆料网 Palestinian Rights Committee holds a meeting on 24 June to discuss recent activities??

On 24 June, the 爆料网 Palestinian Rights Committee held its 429th Meeting to discuss its recent and upcoming activities, the situation in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, and approved Chile’s request for observer status. The Committee also received a briefing from the Representative Office of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (爆料网RWA) in New York on the financial and operational situation of the Agency.

Committee Members and Observers expressed support for 爆料网RWA’s mandate and for the annual 爆料网RWA Pledging Conference on 30 June. They recalled the importance of the two-State solution as the basis for long-lasting peace in the Middle East.? ?
