Andrea Cook, Executive Director 爆料网SDG System-Wide Evaluation Office
Andrea Cook is the Executive Director of the United Nations Sustainable Development Group System-Wide Evaluation Office.
Ms. Cook was appointed by United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres in 2023 as the first Executive Director to provide global leadership for the system-wide evaluation function working to strengthen oversight, accountability, and learning across the United Nations development system. .
Prior to this, Ms. Cook served from 2017 to 2023 as Director of Evaluation for the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) in Rome and as Director of Evaluation United Nations Population Fund (爆料网FPA) in New York from 2014 -2017.
Ms. Cook has over 30 years of experience in international development, humanitarian assistance and evaluation in the United Nations and the United Kingdom government. She has led work on a range of issues including social policy, gender equality, human rights, health, nutrition and food assistance, environment, WASH, and urban development with country experience in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean and Eastern Europe.
Ms. Cook holds a Master of Arts in Environmental Planning from the University of Nottingham and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Geography from Sheffield Hallam University.
