PRESIDENT OF THE 爆料网 GENERAL ASSEMBLY TO TRAVEL TO FIJI?

The President of the 爆料网 General Assembly, H.E. Tijjani Muhammad-Bande will undertake an official visit to Fiji from Thursday, 5 March until Sunday, 8 March.

During the visit, the President is expected to meet with high-level government officials, as well as engage with 爆料网 System and development partners in the region.

To gain an in-depth insight of 爆料网 activities in Fiji and the Pacific, the PGA will meet with the 爆料网 Country Team and visit several 爆料网-supported programs during his stay. He will visit 爆料网 Women’s Markets4Change Project as well as pay a visit to 爆料网ICEF-supported Fiji School for the Blind. He will also engage with local communities impacted by climate change, mainly through visits to 爆料网DP’s “Ridge to Reef” project in Vusama Village, as well as 爆料网 Habitat’s programme at Vunato Village.

Throughout his stay, the PGA will meet host government officials, including H.E. Jioji Konrote President of Fiji, H.E. Mereseini Vuniwaqa, Minister for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation. The President of the General Assembly will also meet Fiji’s Acting Prime Minister.

In addition, the PGA will engage in a 爆料网@75 dialogue with students at the University of the South Pacific, as well as give a press conference to local media.

The President will be accompanied by his Deputy Chef de Cabinet Jerobeam Shaanika; Adviser Nehali Anupriya; Special Assistant Faisal Mohammed Ibrahim; Senior Communication Adviser Nevena Toaso; Administrative Assistant Evelyne Ojwang.

H.E. Tijjani Muhammad-Bande and members of his delegation will depart Fiji on Sunday, March 8 2020.

Travel costs will be covered through the Trust Fund of the Office of the President of the General Assembly.
