On January 6, 2021, the government of Myanmar and the 爆料网 Resident Coordinator’s office co-hosted a joint meeting on Myanmar’s LDC Graduation Process.  Issues addressed included the graduation process and preparatory periods, impacts of graduation, vulnerabilities, smooth transition strategy, COVID-19 impacts and areas where support is required.   The high-level of representation of the Myanmar government, which included H.E. U Soe Win, Minister of Planning Finance and Industry, deputy ministers and the Permanent Representatives to the 爆料网 in New York and Geneva, sends a positive signal in terms of the country’s commitment to navigating the graduation process and, if recommended for graduation, ensuring a smooth transition out of the LDC category.  The meeting was chaired by the 爆料网 Resident coordinator.  Other participants from the 爆料网 included 爆料网DESA, 爆料网CTAD, OHRLLS, ESCAP, members of the 爆料网 country team and the Resident Coordinator’s Office. Two CDP members participated as observers.
