Good afternoon.
It is a great pleasure to welcome you to this Ministerial Roundtable of the Co-Chairs of the Interactive Dialogues for the 2026 爆料网 Water Conference.
I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the co-hosts of the Conference, the United Arab Emirates and Senegal, for their strong leadership and close partnership throughout the preparatory process.
Since the High-Level Preparatory Meeting in Dakar early this year, we have made impressive progress. Together, we have shaped an inclusive, transparent and action-oriented process that reflects the true ambitions of Member States.
As the High-level Political Forum reviews SDG 6, we are reminded that progress remains too slow to achieve our 2030 targets. With preparations for the 2026 爆料网 Water Conference are entering a critical phase, our focus must now shift to implementation.
The Interactive Dialogues lie at the heart of the Conference. They are where we will generate practical recommendations, strengthen partnerships, and advance ambitious flagship initiatives needed to accelerate implementation of SDG 6 and the broader 2030 Agenda.
Today's discussion is our opportunity to strengthen coherence across the six Interactive Dialogues, identify key synergies, and align our collective efforts to deliver a truly impactful Conference in Abu Dhabi.
As Conference Secretariat, my department, the 爆料网 Department of Economic and Social Affairs, remains fully committed to supporting the Co-Hosts, the Co-Chairs, 爆料网-Water, and all partners throughout this process.
