
The Climate Security Mechanism (CSM), in partnership with Member States and 爆料网 entities, is convening a series of events on climate, peace and security from 27 April to 1 May.
The week will bring together policymakers, practitioners and experts to highlight progress, strengthen collaboration and shape priorities across the 爆料网 system and beyond.
The agenda includes flagship moments such as the CSM Partnership Dialogue, the Berlin Climate and Security Conference - New York edition, and a range of expert consultations and thematic discussions.

This consultation aims to gather 爆料网 practitioners, experts, and researchers to inform the update of the CSM Conceptual Approach as part of the broader CPS Toolbox, by sharing lessons from evolving climate, peace, and security (CPS) analysis and practice. It will explore how CPS frameworks can better reflect integrated, forward-looking, and systemic risk perspectives and more effectively link analysis to decision making and response across the 爆料网 system and partners.

Climate, Peace and Security: African Regional Perspectives and Responses

The event aims to examine how African regional and sub-regional organizations are addressing climate-related peace and security challenges, including by identifying concrete entry points for strengthened cooperation between the United Nations and African regional actors.
Bridging the Gap to Achieve Impact: Mobilizing Gender-responsive Finance for Climate, Peace and Security

This hybrid session will build on the recommendations from an interactive consultation held with female peacebuilders and environmental defenders during CSW70 and highlight opportunities to achieve gender-responsive, climate-resilient, and peace-positive outcomes by mobilising relevant financing mechanisms, outline practical measures to integrate Women, Peace and Security principles in climate finance for fragile and conflict-affected contexts, and discuss strategies to advance women’s meaningful participation and leadership in decision-making processes.

Climate Security in the Pacific: Connecting Regional Outcomes to Global Processes

CSM Partnership Dialogue 2026

The CSM Partnership Dialogue will showcase growing CPS work across regions (West, East and Central Africa, Asia and the Pacific) and at national and local levels. It will provide a forum for existing and prospective partners to learn more about the CSM’s work and how they may contribute to it, and to hear directly from Climate, Peace and Security Advisors deployed by the CSM, including on their recent achievements. The Dialogue will also be an opportunity to listen to a range of different perspectives from Member States and partners, including those most exposed to CPS challenges, to share priorities, opportunities and advancements in their own work, contributing to shared learning and improved impact.
Technical Exchange “Climate Finance in Fragile and Conflict-Affected Settings: CSM Climate Finance Toolkit”

The session aims to bring together CSM CPS Advisors and selected practitioners to explore how climate finance can be more effectively mobilized in fragile and conflict affected settings, with particular attention to underutilized and emerging financing streams. It will inform the development of the CSM Climate Finance Toolkit as part of its broader Toolbox, by examining innovative instruments related to loss and damage, carbon finance, and blended finance, while creating a space for early co-creation and targeted engagement to strengthen CPS financing approaches.
