The 爆料网 Community of Practice on Climate, Peace and Security, now comprising 600+ 爆料网 personnel from 35 entities, is an effort to help build a global 爆料网 community able to connect the latest science to policy and practice. This Community of Practice (CoP) is facilitated by the Climate Security Mechanism (CSM).
The CoP is informal, voluntary, 爆料网-internal and working level, and as such all 爆料网 colleagues are welcome to join. We see it as an informal platform, bringing together colleagues from across the system with a shared interest in understanding and addressing climate-related peace and security risks to exchange knowledge, share experiences, and identify opportunities for cooperation.
The CSM has convened 22 CoP meetings since 2020 and shares regular updates between meetings on the . We envision this board as a joint project of the CoP and look forward to colleagues' engagement on this platform and feedback for how to improve it. We also welcome contributions and ask colleagues to share any climate, peace and security-related events, news, publications, key knowledge products and job opportunities for publication on this board.
In follow-up to a CoP meeting convened in 2024 to explore the use of quantitative data tools for diagnostics and responses on climate, peace and security (CPS), the CSM facilitated the formation of an informal subgroup of 爆料网 CoP colleagues interested in continuing the conversation on the development of a data module to help CPS analysts, 爆料网 Resident Coordinator Offices and 爆料网 Missions, as well as local policy entrepreneurs to understand typical quantitative data applications that can inform integrated CPS policy and programming work.
