The ±¬ÁÏÍø Palestinian Rights Committee<\/a> will organize the Virtual Event on \u201cDelivering Critical Assistance for Palestine Refugees: Challenges and Opportunities in a Complex Context\u201d on 7 April 2021 from 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. (New York Time)<\/strong>, via Webex. The event will also be livestreamed on ±¬ÁÏÍø Web TV.<\/p>\n

The event will be organised as a panel briefing with Mr. Philippe Lazzarini, Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (±¬ÁÏÍøRWA), and Ms. Gwyn Lewis, Director of ±¬ÁÏÍøRWA Operations West Bank, on the current situation of Agency and the Palestine refugees it supports. The event aims to strengthen international support for the rights of Palestinian refugees and mobilize political and financial support to ±¬ÁÏÍøRWA, ahead and in support of an international ±¬ÁÏÍøRWA conference hosted by Sweden and Jordan in the coming months.<\/p>\n

Participants will consist of Committee Members\/Observers and the ±¬ÁÏÍøRWA representatives, and other Member States. Intergovernmental and civil society organizations as well as the public and media will be invited to follow the event and pose questions. While participation in the virtual platform will be limited to ±¬ÁÏÍø Member and Observer States as well as the ±¬ÁÏÍøRWA representatives, the general public can send their questions via the Committee Facebook page<\/a>, Twitter account<\/a>, the email dpr-meeting@un.org<\/a> and WhatsApp (+1 646 421 0579).<\/p>\n
