The NGO stated that closures of border crossings and uncertainty lead to shortages and sharp spikes in prices in Gaza amidst rampant poverty. This is the third year in which Gaza\u2019s residents are marking Eid al-Fitr amidst a reality of ongoing attacks, displacement, and severe poverty. Gisha has consistently stressed that stable and uninterrupted crossing operations are essential. A lack of reliability and disruption of operations have\u202fa profound impact on all aspects of life in the Strip.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">On 18 March,\u00a0<\/span><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dci-palestine.org\/more_than_half_of_palestinian_child_detainees_have_no_charges\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Defense for\u00a0Children\u00a0International\u00a0\u2013\u00a0Palestine<\/a><\/em><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> issued a press release denouncing that 51% of Palestinian child detainees are in administrative detention without charge or trial, which is both the highest number and the highest proportion on record since Defense for Children International &#8211; Palestine began its monitoring work in 2008. The NGOs warned that the production of goods for international export is crucial for the economic viability of the settlements, drives further settlement expansion, and normalizes the illegal occupation. The NGO calls for the immediate provision of medical equipment and devices in health centers and clinics in Gaza, ensuring the entry of aid and food supplies, and providing fuel, laboratory materials and health supplies. The report documents the crime of forced displacement affecting the Jenin, Tulkarm, and Nur Shams refugee camps, as well as other areas in the northern West Bank in 2024-25, with a particular focus on its complex and multi-dimensional impacts on Palestinian women. It highlights that post-displacement housing arrangements such as temporary shelters, overcrowded living with other families, or accommodation with non-relatives have resulted in serious violations of the right to privacy and created unsafe and unsuitable environments for women and girls. CMEP calls on the US government and the international community to urgently focus attention on the escalating crisis in the West Bank. The transfer of weapons that fuel these abuses must end, meaningful accountability must be imposed on those responsible for violence, and the rule of law must apply equally to all.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>On 13 March,\u00a0<span data-contrast=\"auto\">in\u00a0an\u00a0episode\u00a0of\u00a0\u201cOccupied Thoughts\u201d,\u00a0<\/span><em><a href=\"https:\/\/fmep.org\/resource\/the-escalating-drive-toward-greater-israel-view-from-ramallah\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Foundation\u00a0for\u00a0Middle\u00a0East\u00a0Peace<\/a><\/em><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0President\u00a0Lara Friedman\u00a0spoke\u00a0with Ramallah-based Palestinian journalist,\u00a0analyst\u00a0and\u00a0commentator\u00a0Nour Odeh.\u00a0The episode served to discuss\u00a0the situation in the West Bank today,\u00a0trends in West Bank settler and IDF\u00a0violence\u00a0dating from before\u00a0the war on Gaza,\u00a0and recent regional developments.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>On\u00a013 March,\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hrw.org\/news\/2026\/03\/13\/in-the-shadow-of-war-settler-violence-against-palestinians-intensifies\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Human Rights Watch\u00a0(HRW)<\/a><\/em><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> issued the press release \u201cIn the Shadow of War, Settler Violence Against Palestinians Intensifies\u201d. Following opening remarks by the Palestinian Minister of Women Affairs, a panel of women experts from Gaza, the West Bank and Israel formulated recommendations for the implementation on gender-sensitive measures by Third States on ending the illegal Israeli occupation and violations against Palestinian women in the overall political and security context of the region.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>On 17 March, the\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ohchr.org\/en\/press-releases\/2026\/03\/israels-settlement-expansion-drives-mass-displacement-west-bank-un-report\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">爆料网 Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights<\/a><\/em><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> submitted its report, pursuant to Human Rights Council resolution 58\/28, alerting on the accelerated unlawful settlement expansion and annexation of large parts of the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, forcibly displacing over 36,000 Palestinians amid increasing violence by Israeli security forces and settlers. 爆料网 High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker T\u00fcrk calls on Israel to immediately and completely cease and reverse the establishment and expansion of settlements, for the evacuation all settlers, and an end to the occupation of the Palestinian territory. Israel must also enable the return of displaced Palestinians, and stop all practices of land confiscation, forced evictions and house demolitions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>On\u00a012\u00a0March,\u00a0the\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/unispal\/document\/february-2026-monthly-bulletin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">爆料网 Committee on the\u00a0Exercise of the\u00a0Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People<\/a><\/em><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0published its monthly bulletin\u00a0Action by 爆料网 System Relevant to the Question of Palestine\u00a0for\u00a0the month of February 2026.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>On 6 March,\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ohchr.org\/en\/press-releases\/2026\/03\/un-experts-warn-against-irreversible-de-palestinisation-jerusalem\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">爆料网 Human Rights experts<\/a><\/em><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0issued\u00a0a joint statement, warning against the irreversible \u2018de-Palestinisation\u2019 of Jerusalem.\u00a0In East Jerusalem, extrajudicial killings, large-scale\u00a0demolitions\u00a0and forced displacement have escalated. Checkpoints and closures are severing the city from its Palestinian hinterland, isolating communities from their social, cultural,\u00a0economic\u00a0and religious life and undermining their rights to self-determination and development.
