Question<\/u>:\u00a0 Okay.\u00a0 Thank you.\u00a0 Well, the Elders today issued a statement<\/a> regarding the Israeli plan to annex part of the West Bank.\u00a0 I mean, I have been following the action of the world Powers regarding this plan.\u00a0 The only person who did not issue a clear\u2011cut statement representing the United Nations at the highest level is the Secretary\u2011General.\u00a0 Why is that? \u00a0I mean, with this major development, it’s not something like bulldozing a house, as the Israeli did this morning in this village of Kobar, or shutting down a clinic in East Jerusalem.\u00a0 This is annexing part of the West Bank and the Jordan Valley.\u00a0 So, why there is no clear\u2011cut, concrete statement from the Secretary\u2011General? \u00a0I will keep asking that again\u2026 sorry.<\/p>\n

Spokesman<\/u>:\u00a0 Abdelhamid, you and I are going to travel on parallel roads on this for quite some time.\u00a0 I think, if you look at Mr.\u00a0[Nickolay] Mladenov’s latest statement<\/a> to the Security Council, I think the Secretary\u2011General’s position against any annexation is very, very clear for all to see. \u00a0All right.\u00a0 Any other questions? \u00a0I guess you did have the last question.\u00a0 All right.\u00a0 See you all tomorrow.\u00a0 Bye.<\/p>\n
