SUB-COMMITTEE 2 OF THE AD HOC COMMITTEE ON PALESTINE<\/u><\/p><\/div>\n

Sub-Committee 2 of the Ad Hoc Committee on the Palestinian Question held two meetings today, during which they approved, in their final forms, Chapters I, II and III of the <\/span>Report<\/a> which will be submitted to the Ad Hoc Committee.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

These three chapters, which contain the substantive part of the <\/span>report<\/a>, deal with the questions of Jewish refugees and displaced persons; the legality of the Mandate and the competence of the United Nations to enforce any decision it may make regarding Palestine, and the proposed constitution for Palestine as a unitary state.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

Monday morning, 10 November, Sub-Committee II will give its final approval to the resolutions embodying the Sub-Committee's recommendations.<\/p><\/div>\n
