HEADQUARTERS<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\" style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">\n<li style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:10pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;\">The Secretary-General met at 11:30 this morning with a group of 15 eighth-grade Palestinian girls and three teachers, who were the top students and teachers in an education programme on human rights, conflict resolution and tolerance, taught in Gaza by the ±¬ÁÏÍø Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (±¬ÁÏÍøRWA). <br \/>\n&#160; <\/li>\n<li style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:10pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;\">The prize they received for their academic excellence was a week-long trip to the United States, including a visit to New York to meet the Secretary-General. <br \/>\n&#160; <\/li>\n<li style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:10pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;\">The children had never been outside Gaza before in their lives.
