Dire humanitarian crisis facing civilians in Yarmouk, Damascus<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

"No ±¬ÁÏÍøRWA distribution of humanitarian assistance was carried out in Yarmouk on 17 June. The ±¬ÁÏÍøRWA team did not proceed with the mission as the security situation in Yarmouk did not allow for humanitarian operations to take place following clashes overnight. <\/p><\/div>\n

"±¬ÁÏÍøRWA is concerned that this latest break in its Yarmouk distribution has extended to a tenth day. The Agency demands that armed hostilities cease and urges all concerned parties to restore daily distribution of humanitarian assistance to help address what remains a dire humanitarian crisis facing civilians in Yarmouk.  ±¬ÁÏÍøRWA is concerned by the plight of the estimated 18,000 civilians trapped in Yarmouk and continues to advocate for continuous, substantial and safe humanitarian distributions to civilians there."<\/p><\/div>\n
