Our spokesperson Chris Gunness has the following to say on the situation in Yarmouk Camp<\/p><\/div>\n

"±¬ÁÏÍøRWA distributed hygiene kits to 82 civilian families in Yarmouk on 20 August, following a break of humanitarian distributions over the last 10 days.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

"The ±¬ÁÏÍøRWA team arrived at northern Bateekhah entrance at 10:00 and distribution commenced in Yarmouk at 14:15. Distribution continued in an orderly manner until 16:30, when the operation was concluded.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

"The humanitarian situation in Yarmouk remains desperate and ±¬ÁÏÍøRWA appeals to all parties to do everything in their power to end the suffering of the over 18,000 civilians trapped there. ±¬ÁÏÍøRWA is deeply concerned that the recourse to armed violence frequently interrupts life-saving humanitarian operations in Yarmouk. The Agency will continue to seek from all sides conditions that enable ±¬ÁÏÍøRWA to offer a full range of humanitarian assistance and serivces inside Yarmouk on a uninterrupted, substantial and safe basis."<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
