The report, written by Arab authors for an Arab audience, highlights a lack of individual and civil liberties. <\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:justify;padding-top:9px;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">Speaking to Arab Foreign Ministers at the EU-GCC meeting in Bahrain, the Commissioner said : <\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:justify;padding-top:9px;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\"><i>&quot;I fully endorse the findings of this report. Supporting Arab countries&#39; own reforms, particularly in promoting freedom of thought, expression and association, is a key priority for the EU in the region.
