YARMOUK SITUATION UPDATE 8<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

±¬ÁÏÍøRWA has not been able to conduct any humanitarian distribution in Yarmouk since March 28th. ±¬ÁÏÍøRWA is deeply concerned that lack of humanitarian access to the civilians inside Yarmouk, and those displaced to the south of Yarmouk, is putting 18,000 Palestinian and Syrian men, women and children at grave risks, as they continue to survive in a context of sustained armed violence and deprivation of their most basic food, water and healthcare needs.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

±¬ÁÏÍøRWA continues to provide life-saving support to the civilians from Yarmouk who remain displaced in Tadamon. Today ±¬ÁÏÍøRWA provided healthcare to 31 individuals suffering from a range of illnesses in coordination with the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, including two pregnant women. The Agency further assessed the situation of these vulnerable civilians to prepare future missions and assistance. ±¬ÁÏÍøRWA and its partners stand ready to continue providing humanitarian assistance to civilians inside Yarmouk and to those who may be displaced from Yarmouk as a result of the ongoing fighting.<\/p><\/div>\n

As violence continues to escalate, ±¬ÁÏÍøRWA demands for all armed groups inside Yarmouk to respect and comply with their obligations to ensure the protection of civilians. ±¬ÁÏÍøRWA further demands the establishment of secure conditions under which the Agency can deliver life-saving humanitarian assistance.<\/p><\/div>\n
