SUMMARY:Briefing for New Delegates
DESCRIPTION:The Division for Palestinian Rights (DPR) held its annual Briefing for New Delegates on the General Assembly mandate and work of the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People on 28 February 2023 at ±¬ÁÏÍø Headquarters. Over a dozen ±¬ÁÏÍø delegates and representatives of relevant ±¬ÁÏÍø entities attended the briefing\, which was opened by the Committee Chair\, Amb. Cheikh Niang. Various colleagues from DPR talked about their activities in areas including capacity building\, social media outreach\, international meetings\, and outreach to member states\, while colleagues from the Department of Global Communications’ Special Information Programme on the Question of Palestine gave a briefing about their work. Ambassador Feda Abdelhady from the State of Palestine provided closing remarks.
