HIGHLIGHTS

• Israeli authorities have announced plans to suspend the operations of 37 international NGOs, a development that comes at a critical time as emergency-level food insecurity persists across Gaza and severe food shortages remain widespread, despite the ceasefire. WFP assesses that the anticipated impact on key nutrition partners poses a serious risk to programme continuity at a time of acute needs, compounding existing operational pressure, and has already begun implementing mitigation measures to sustain delivery.
• At the same time, administrative impediments across all entry corridors continue to challenge the sustainability of a full-scale humanitarian response. As a result, humanitarian cargo delivery remains constrained, increasing the risk of interruptions to General Food Distributions which can lead to consequences such as ration reductions and/or reduced reach.
• While WFP has adopted mitigation measures to sustain operations, unimpeded humanitarian access and the ability for partners to operate without disruption remain essential to prevent any deterioration of food security conditions.
