BEIRUT,
±¬ÁÏÍøRWA is providing?health-care?services to the displaced Palestine Refugees from Ein El Hilweh camp, including for those who seek refuge in the emergency shelters located in ±¬ÁÏÍøRWA schools and premises.
The ±¬ÁÏÍøRWA Health Centre in Saida, an additional health centre set up for the displaced in the ±¬ÁÏÍøRWA Siblin Training Centre, and a mobile health clinic serve those displaced in ±¬ÁÏÍøRWA protection shelter.?They include full medical staff and are fully operational.??±¬ÁÏÍøRWA plans to establish a temporary mobile clinic in a rented apartment in Saida to help alleviate pressure on the Saida Health Centre and offer accessible services to more Palestine Refugees.
Our medical services include consultations, access to specialists?–?including mental health consultations with experts like psychiatrists?–?and the provision of medications, including those required to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
All emergency shelters are equipped with first aid capabilities to address immediate medical needs. Patients in emergency shelters who require hospitalization are referred to the Hamshari PRCS Hospital, where they are treated at no cost.
Our medical staff are monitoring the situation concerning COVID-19 and other infectious diseases in our emergency shelters. We are implementing precautionary measures, which encompass the distribution of masks, sanitizers, and the administration of COVID-19 tests.
“±¬ÁÏÍøRWA is continuing to adjust its health services to a challenging situation,?striving for?uninterrupted services for all. Special care and dedication has been exercised by our health staff for the displaced in ±¬ÁÏÍøRWA protection shelters. They have been tirelessly offering their services and many thanks go to them!“?said Dorothee Klaus, Director of ±¬ÁÏÍøRWA Affairs in Lebanon.
