The initiative of shared commitments on ±¬ÁÏÍøRWA was proposed by Jordan, Kuwait, and Slovenia on 22 May 2024 on behalf of 16 Member States, and formally launched in the margins of the ±¬ÁÏÍøRWA Pledging Conference in New York on 12 July. As of that day, 118 Member States, including all members of the ±¬ÁÏÍø Security Council, have signed up to these?commitments, which are an expression of solidarity and support to ±¬ÁÏÍøRWA.
