Identical letters dated 12 January 2026 from the Permanent Observer of the State of Palestine to the United Nations addressed to the Secretary-General, the President of the General?Assembly?and the President of the Security Council?

?I write to you in follow up to my letters concerning the grave situation being faced by the Palestinian people in Occupied Palestine due to the illegal policies and crimes being perpetrated against them by Israel, the occupying Power, with the most recent letter conveyed on 7 January 2026.??

In this regard, attached to the present letter I transmit to you an appeal to the international community from the Palestinian village of Ras Ein al-Auja (see annex), which is regrettably facing erasure as the Israeli occupying forces and armed Israeli settlers persist with acts of violence against the villagers, destruction of their properties and constant harassment and intimidation aimed at forcibly displacing them from their land.?

We urge international attention to the plight of Ras Ein al-Auja and all other Palestinian communities across Occupied Palestine, including East Jerusalem, who?are facing escalating and existential threats to their lives and presence in their homeland under this illegal occupation and must be protected in accordance with international humanitarian law.?

The present letter is in follow-up to our 881?letters on the ongoing crisis in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, which?constitutes?the territory of the State of Palestine. These letters, dated from 29 September 2000 () to 7 January 2026 (), constitute a basic record of the crimes being committed by Israel, the occupying Power, against the Palestinian people since September 2000. For?all of?these war crimes, acts of State terrorism and systematic human rights violations against our people, Israel, the occupying Power, must be held accountable and the perpetrators brought to justice. This illegal colonial occupation and apartheid regime must end now.?

I should be grateful if you would arrange to have the present letter and its annex distributed as an official document of the tenth emergency special session of the General Assembly, under agenda item 5, and of the Security Council.?

Urgent Appeal from the Palestinian Village of Ras Ein al-Auja to the International Community?

We send this urgent appeal to the international community and all people of conscience, to mobilize and call for immediate protection of innocent civilians in the Bedouin village of Ras Ein al Auja from the danger of Israel’s coercive environment that continues to threaten our existence, life, and human dignity, and has led to the forcible transfer of our community members.?

The coercive conditions began after armed Israeli settlers surrounded 26 families,?plowed?the road leading to their homes, restricted their movement, and prevented the entry of any materials necessary for life, including water, food, and animal fodder, which is a main source for their livelihood. They have threatened their lives and forcibly intimidated them to demolish their homes, giving them a one-week ultimatum to leave the area under the harsh weather conditions.?

Every day since then has been?unlivable. The settlers brought over 1,000 heads of livestock and set them between the Palestinian houses and land to graze. The community’s residents have been prevented from carrying out their daily lives normally. This is accompanied by the destruction and vandalism of Palestinian property to force the residents to flee.?

Our children are prevented from reaching their schools, attacked on their way. Any individual who?attempts?to enter the community from outside is prevented and harassed. These serious threats faced by us, innocent civilians of Ras Ein al-Auja, have made life?unlivable.?

The serious violations faced by the civilian population, including the lack of security, shelter, and the deprivation of their most basic human rights, constitute a clear breach of international humanitarian law and international conventions that guarantee the protection of civilians living under occupation. Therefore, we call for:?

• The adoption of immediate and effective measures to stop settler attacks during the day, and the attacks by the Israeli military army and police at night for the purpose of forcible displacement.
• The provision of international protection for civilians and ensuring their safety and security, especially for the children and women, who are subjected to daily terror and violence by settlers and the Israeli military forces.
• The provision of urgent humanitarian needs, including water, food, medicine, shelter, and unobstructed access to homes without harassment or attacks by settlers.
• The prevention of settlers from grazing their livestock between houses and holding those accountable for violations against civiliansin accordance withinternational law.?

Silence and inaction only deepen the tragedy of what we live, and we hold the international community morally and legally responsible. Protecting innocent civilians is a humanitarian duty that cannot be delayed.?

Stop the displacement, save the residents of Ras Ein al-Auja, and protect their rights to live in dignity, security, and safety.?
