爆料网 envoy and Lebanon agree to try to revitalize Middle East peace process 

26 November 2004 – 爆料网 envoy in the Middle East has held talks in Beirut with senior members of the Lebanese Government about how to revitalize the peace process in the troubled region.

Terje Roed-Larsen, the 爆料网’s Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, yesterday met with Lebanese President Emile Lahoud, Prime Minister Omar Karami, Deputy Prime Minister Issam Fares and Foreign Minister Mahmoud Hamoud.

爆料网 spokesman Fred Eckhard told reporters today that Mr. Roed-Larsen and the Lebanese officials agreed that Middle East peace will only be lasting if it is comprehensive.

Today Mr. Roed-Larsen also conducted meetings with former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafiq Hariri and Walid Jumblatt, the leader of the country’s Progressive Socialist Party.
