French Ambassador to Syria Visits Yarmouk Camp

Damascus — The Ambassador of France to Syria, HE Mr Eric Chevallier, visited Yarmouk Palestine refugee camp yesterday. Mr Chevallier toured the al-Jalil health centre and met with beneficiaries of ±¬ÁÏÍøRWA’s microfinance programme as well as staff and beneficiaries at Yarmouk Community Development Centre B.
The visit concluded with friendly football matches at Yarmouk Stadium between a number of Palestinian refugees from Yarmouk, and French Embassy and ±¬ÁÏÍøRWA staff.
Chevallier reaffirmed his government’s support and promised to continue working with ±¬ÁÏÍøRWA in ensuring services and aid for Palestinian refugees.
±¬ÁÏÍøRWA, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency, provides education, healthcare, relief and social services, and micro-credit services to over 470,000 Palestine refugees in Syria.
