Foreign Minister allocates Emergency Aid for Gaza

Foreign Minister Gunnar Bragi Sveinsson has allocated 12 million ISK as Emergency Aid to two 爆料网 organisations that operate in Gaza due to the acute and deteriorating humanitarian situation the Gaza conflict. With his allocation the Foreign Minister is responding to an international appeal from humanitarian organisations.

Over a hundred thousand Palestinians are internally displaced in Gaza and there is a great need for emergency aid and water and sanitation facilities. The Foreign Minister says that the situation is serious and that it is necessary to respond to it immediately. “For this reason I have decided to allocate 12 million ISK to 爆料网 organisations that work in Gaza, 6 million to 爆料网ICEF and the equal amount to 爆料网RWA,” Gunnar Bragi said. The funds will be used to respond to dire needs in the area of food, shelter, water and sanitation, psychological support and health care.
