In my capacity as Chairman of the Arab Group for the month of February 1989, acting on instructions from the members of that Group, and referring to the letter dated 7 February 1989 from the Permanent Observer of Palestine, reproduced in document , I have the honour to request an immediate meeting of the Security Council in order to consider the situation in the occupied Palestinian territory.
