It cannot take responsibility for the accuracy of the information.<\/span><\/div><button style=\"color:#a0a0a0;border-color:#a0a0a0;\" type=\"button\" class=\"close toggle-alert\" data-dismiss=\"alert\" aria-label=\"Close\">&times;<\/button><\/div><div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-layout-column fusion_builder_column fusion-builder-column-2 fusion_builder_column_3_4 3_4 fusion-three-fourth fusion-column-first\" style=\"--awb-bg-size:cover;width:74%; margin-left: 4%;\"><div class=\"fusion-column-wrapper fusion-flex-column-wrapper-legacy\"><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-1\"><h2>27 October 2015<\/h2>\n<h3>North America<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>On 23 October, the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thejerusalemfund.org\/ht\/d\/sp\/i\/223\/pid\/223\">Palestine Center of the Jerusalem Fund for Education and Community Development<\/a>, Washington D.C. held their Annual Conference:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thejerusalemfund.org\/ht\/d\/EventDetails\/i\/53903\/pid\/187\">&#8220;Palestine and the Palestinians: Media, People, Politics&#8221;<\/a>\u00a0with internationally renowned scholars, activists, journalists, and other media practitioners who examined multiple aspects of the current situation, focusing on the context and representation of Palestinians in the media, regional and international politics, and in the United States.<\/li>\n<li>On 27 October, the Israel Palestine NGO Working Group to the 爆料网 in New York, together with Rebuilding Alliance, co-sponsored an event \u201c#OPENGAZA: TRAUMA AND HOPE, FIRST HAND tour.\u201d Dr. Yasser Abu-Jamie, MD, Executive Director of Gaza Community Health Programme and Ran Goldstein, Executive Director of Physicians for Human Rights, Israel briefed about Gaza\u2019s mental health crisis and the impact of the blockade, especially among children.<\/li>\n<li>n 29 October, the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.columbia.edu\/cu\/palestine\/programs\/\">Center for Palestine Studies, Middle East Institute at Columbia University<\/a>\u00a0in New York will present\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.columbia.edu\/cu\/palestine\/programs\/\">\u201cThe Native and the Refugee project\u201d<\/a>, a multimedia project by the filmmakers and producers Matt Peterson and Malek Rasamny, that brings together the spaces of the Indian reservation and Palestinian refugee camp.<\/li>\n<li>On 31 October, the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/festivalarabe.com\/?lang=en\">Festival of the Arab World of Montreal<\/a>, Canada will present the film\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/festivalarabe.com\/event\/palestine-stereo\/?lang=en\">\u201cPalestine Stereo\u201d<\/a>\u00a0by Rashid Masharawi, a story of two brothers who planned to emigrate from Palestine to Canada after an Israeli air force bombing destroyed their family home.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Europe<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>On 31 October, the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.soas.ac.uk\/lmei-cps\/\">Centre of Palestine Studies of the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London<\/a>, will hold a one-day conference\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.soas.ac.uk\/lmei-cps\/events\/31oct2015-the-gaza-strip-history-future-and-new-directions-for-research-.html\">\u201cThe Gaza Strip: History, Future and New Directions for Research\u201d<\/a>\u00a0Sara Roy, Centre for Middle Eastern Studies at Harvard University, will participate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>United Nations<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The 爆料网 Palestinian Rights Committee will observe the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People on Monday, 23 November 2015 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. Observances will also be held at the 爆料网 Offices at Geneva on 30 November and at Vienna on 24 November, as well as in many other major cities around the world in cooperation with the 爆料网 Information Centres. Invitations to attend to accredited and observer CSOs will be sent shortly.<\/li>\n<li>The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/unispal.un.org\/unispal.nsf\/com.htm\">爆料网 Palestinian Rights Committee<\/a>\u00a0in cooperation with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation will hold the International Meeting on the Question of Jerusalem in Jakarta, Indonesia from 14 to 15 December. A Civil Society Forum will be held on 16 December.
