The conference will bring together diverse groups of mental health workers, social workers and academics to evaluate mental health practices in a war zone and question the traditional concept of trauma.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>North America<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>On 9 November, the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thejerusalemfund.org\/ht\/d\/sp\/i\/223\/pid\/223\">Palestine Center<\/a>\u00a0in Washington, D.C. held the conference\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thejerusalemfund.org\/ht\/d\/EventDetails\/i\/54027\">A night in Gaza with Dr. Mads Gilbert<\/a>, Medical Director at the Clinic of Emergency Medicine of the University of North Norway, who documented his work at al-Shifa Hospital during the 2014 Gaza war.<\/li>\n<li>On 13 November the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.columbia.edu\/cu\/palestine\/\">Center for Palestine Studies<\/a>, Columbia University in New York City will present the discussion\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.columbia.edu\/cu\/palestine\/programs\/\">Palestinian Futures: Remembering the Nakba<\/a>. Dr. Eman Abu Hanna-Nahhas, Head of the Department of Education at Teacher&#8217;s College in Haifa will discuss how collective memory is transmitted across generations and the role of narrative in social and political transformation, with a response by Professor Marianne Hirsch, Professor of English and Comparative Literature at Columbia University.<\/li>\n<li>On 14 November the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.docnyc.net\/\">DOC NYC<\/a>, documentary film festival,\u00a0at the School of Visual Art Theatre in New York City, will present the documentary\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/speedsisters.tv\/\">Speed Sisters<\/a>, on the first all-woman race car driving team in the Middle East.<\/li>\n<li>On 14 November, The Nourse Theatre City in San Francisco will present\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mecaforpeace.org\/events\/san-francisco-ca-wishah-palestinian-popular-dance-troupe\">Wishah Palestinian Popular Dance Troupe<\/a>. Proceeds will benefit organizations for Palestine and relief work in Gaza.<\/li>\n<li>On 12 November, the Israel-Palestine Working Group of NGOs (IPWG) in New York will host a conversation with Br. Peter Bray, Vice-Chancellor and Br. Stephen Tuohy, Vice- President of Bethlehem University. They will provide an update on the current situation in the OPT and how the Bethlehem University is addressing the needs of their students.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Middle East<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>On 22 November, the organization\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.breakingthesilence.org.il\/\">Breaking the Silence<\/a>\u00a0will hold a guided tour in\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.breakingthesilence.org.il\/tours\/1\">Hebron<\/a>,. The tour explores the results of the principle of separation and the military control in the city from the perspective of soldiers who served there.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>United Nations<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>On 5 November, the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.unicnairobi.org\/palestineflagraised_atunon2015.asp\">爆料网 Office at Nairobi<\/a>\u00a0raised the flag of the State of Palestine.<\/li>\n<li>On 9 November the Working Group of the 爆料网 Palestinian Rights Committee heard a briefing by the human rights organization\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.adalah.org\/en\">Adalah<\/a>\u00a0on the recent repressive measures by the Israeli Government.<\/li>\n<li>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/unispal.un.org\/DPA\/DPR\/unispal.nsf\/solidarity.htm\">International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People<\/a>\u00a0will be observed on 23 November 2015 at the 爆料网 Headquarters in New York, in Geneva on 30 November and in Vienna on 24 November, as well as at 爆料网 Information Centres elsewhere.<\/li>\n<li>The Palestinian Rights Committee in cooperation with the OIC will hold the International Conference on the Question of Jerusalem in Jakarta, Indonesia on 14 to 15 December.
