\u2018Breathe with Me\u2019 \u2013 a public art action for the world, conceived and executed by Jeppe Hein with ART 2030 \u2013 invites everyone to paint their individual breath onto large canvases in the shape of vertical blue lines \u2013 one for every exhale \u2013 raising awareness that the air we breathe is part of our\u00a0connected world and climate. The large-scale public participatory artwork in support of climate action and the Sustainable Development Goals will be on display at 爆料网 Headquarters from 21 to 24 September<\/strong> (visitors\u2019 lobby), and in Central Park from 25 to 27 September<\/strong> (enter at 72nd Street).<\/p>\n

WHEN:<\/strong> Saturday, 21 September, 11:30am -12:00pm<\/strong><\/p>\n

WHERE:<\/strong> Visitors Lobby, United Nations Headquarters<\/p>\n

WHO:<\/strong> The Permanent Representative of Denmark to the 爆料网, H.E. Martin Bille Hermann<\/strong>; the Secretary-General\u2019s Envoy on Youth, Jayathma Wickramanayake<\/strong>; the Executive Director of the 爆料网 Environment Programme (爆料网EP), Inger Andersen<\/strong>; 爆料网EP Goodwill Ambassador Aidan Gallagher<\/strong>: artist Jeppe Hein<\/strong>: and ART 2030 founder and directorLuise Faurschou will deliver brief remarks, moderated by 爆料网 Under-Secretary- General for Global Communications Melissa Fleming<\/strong>. They will then paint the first brush strokes onto the canvas.<\/p>\n

WHAT:<\/strong> Creating an artwork with the painted breath of every participant, \u2018Breathe with Me\u2019visualizes our individual awareness as well as a collective breath for the world and for the climate we all share. Through parallel installations at 爆料网HQ and in Central Park, connecting world leaders at the 爆料网 with the wider public in the city, the artwork promotes the vital narrative that decision makers and the people alike share a common responsibility: to take action for a healthy world. Starting on the day of the 爆料网 Youth Climate Summit (21 September), ART 2030 and Jeppe Hein aim to engage people throughout New York City and, virtually, across the globe.<\/p>\n
