Background:<\/strong>
\nThe Conference of States Parties has grown to be one of the largest and most diverse international disability meetings in the world.<\/p>\n

It will bring together 173 States Parties to the Convention, other Governments, ±¬ÁÏÍø agencies and civil society organizations, including organizations of persons with disabilities. They will discuss ways to better implement the Convention under the session’s overarching theme, \u201cThe Second Decade of the CRPD: Inclusion and full participation of persons with disabilities and their representative organizations in the implementation of the Convention\u201d.<\/p>\n

The conference will highlight the specific situation of the most marginalized persons with disabilities, including in the context of humanitarian action, in order to achieve the new development agenda.<\/p>\n

In addition to the main Conference, over 80 side-events, workshops and exhibits will be convened by Governments, ±¬ÁÏÍø agencies, civil society organizations, including organizations of persons with disabilities, academia and the private sector.<\/p>\n
