First Global Sustainable Transport Outlook Report <\/strong>
\n\u201cMobilizing Sustainable Transport for Development\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Calling for bold measures by governments and businesses to transform the transport sector, the United Nations Secretary-General\u2019s High-level Advisory Group on Sustainable Transport will present its first Global Sustainable Transport Outlook Report, a ten-point plan on how to advance sustainable transport worldwide, on 28 October.<\/p>\n

The report entitled \u201cMobilizing Sustainable Transport for Development\u201d highlights the fundamental role sustainable transport plays in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Investments in sustainable transport could lead to fuel savings and lower operational costs, decreased congestion and reduced air pollution. It is estimated that efforts to promote sustainable transport can deliver savings of up to US$70 trillion by 2050.<\/p>\n
