and Criminal Justice (CCPCJ) came to a close in Vienna today, the head of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.unodc.org\/unodc\/\">爆料网ODC<\/a>) highlighted that bonds had been strengthened between efforts in crime prevention and criminal justice and work undertaken to promote sustainable development.<\/p>\n<div class=\"container\">\n<div id=\"story-content\" class=\"row\">\n<div class=\"span8\">\n<div id=\"fullstory\">\n<p>\u201cOur mission has never been clearer, or better articulated,\u201d 爆料网ODC Executive Director Yury Fedotov <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unodc.org\/unodc\/en\/frontpage\/2016\/May\/our-mission-has-never-been-clearer--says-unodc-chief-at-crime-commission-closing.html?ref=fs1\">told<\/a> participants at the CCPCJ\u2019s closing ceremony.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Fedotov noted that 爆料网ODC\u2019s activities on terrorism, wildlife crime, human trafficking, migrant smuggling, building partnerships with organizations such as INTERPOL, and tackling trafficking in cultural property were linked, through Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/sustainabledevelopment\/peace-justice\/\">16<\/a> and other goals, to the <a href=\"https:\/\/sustainabledevelopment.un.org\/post2015\/transformingourworld\">2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>He stressed that \u201cthe Crime Commission\u2019s bold work provides a solid platform for 爆料网ODC\u2019s own activities in the areas of crime prevention and criminal justice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThanks to the Crime Commission, 爆料网ODC has the necessary tools to play a key role in the 爆料网\u2019s much wider work of achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>The Crime Commission regularly brings together around 1,000 delegates drawn from Member States, civil society and academia.<\/p>\n<p>At this year\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.unodc.org\/unodc\/en\/commissions\/CCPCJ\/session\/25_Session_2016\/session-25-of-the-ccpcj.html\">session<\/a>, six resolutions were passed, including on restorative justice, legal aid and mainstreaming youth crime prevention.<\/p>\n<p>Almost 50 side events were held during the five days of the session, as well as numerous exhibitions on crime prevention and criminal
