World leaders,\u00a0representatives of the private sector,\u00a0civil society organizations and other stakeholders\u00a0will\u00a0convene\u00a0at\u00a0<\/span>the 2026 ±¬ÁÏÍø\u00a0Water Conference<\/span><\/b><\/a>\u00a0in\u00a0<\/span>Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates,<\/span><\/b>\u00a0from\u00a0<\/span>8 to 10 December 2026<\/span><\/b>\u00a0to\u00a0tackle the global water crisis and\u00a0accelerate\u00a0progress\u00a0on\u00a0<\/span>Sustainable Development Goal\u00a06 (SDG 6): Clean Water and Sanitation.<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Access to clean water and sanitation\u00a0remains\u00a0out of reach for billions of people. 2.1 billion people still lack safely managed drinking water and 3.4 billion have no access to safely managed sanitation. More than 1,000 children die\u00a0each day\u00a0from preventable illness\u00a0linked to\u00a0unsafe water and\u00a0inadequate\u00a0sanitation.
