United Nations President of the General Assembly La<\/span>unches Global Campaign \u201cLike a Woman\u201d to Challenge Stereotypes and Spotlight Women\u2019s Leadership Across Sectors<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

New York, 4 March 2026<\/b> – As the world marks International Women\u2019s Day (8 March), the President of the United Nations General Assembly, H.E. Ms Annalena Baerbock, will debut #LikeAWoman<\/b>, a bold digital campaign that shines a light on women\u2019s power, vision, and unstoppable force around the world and across every sector.<\/p>\n

\n

For too long, phrases \u201clike a woman\u201d and \u201clike a girl\u201d have been used as an insult, implying weakness and limitation. Yet the evidence tells a different story. When women lead, peace agreements are more durable; when women shape economies, profits grow; and when women and girls have equal rights, societies are more peaceful and prosperous.<\/p>\n

\n

The #LikeAWoman<\/b> campaign seeks to change this narrative by showcasing the stories of everyday heroes across sectors and regions who are breaking barriers in their fields. From conflict zones to la<\/span>boratories to sports arenas and even outer space, women are showing what it means to live, create, and rise #LikeAWoman<\/b> \u2013 all on their own terms.<\/p>\n

\n

A Campaign Rooted in Storytelling and Visibility<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

In the days leading up to International Women\u2019s Day, throughout the 70th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women<\/span><\/a><\/span> \u2013 the 爆料网\u2019s leading forum for promoting women\u2019s rights and gender equality (9-19 March) \u2013 and the entirety of Women\u2019s History Month, the PGA will release a series of portraits on Instagram (@unpga<\/span><\/a><\/span>), inviting participants to define in their own words what it means to act, champion, innovate, discover, create and lead #LikeAWoman<\/b>.<\/i><\/p>\n
