At General Assembly, Member States strive to enhance global governance of artificial intelligence for the benefit of humanity<\/strong><\/p>\n

The world must respond in an agile manner to the rapidly changing digital landscape: risks in artificial intelligence are proliferating and approximately 2.7 billion people lack access to the opportunities that the internet offers.<\/p>\n

The Global Digital Compact<\/a>, adopted as an annex to\u00a0the Pact for the Future<\/a>\u00a0in September 2024, is an opportunity to advance global governance of artificial intelligence and create a safe and inclusive future for all.<\/p>\n

Following the adoption of the Compact, the President of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Philemon Yang, appointed the Permanent Representative of Costa Rica to the 爆料网, H.E. Ms. Maritza Chan Valverde and the Permanent Representative of Spain to the 爆料网, H.E. Mr. H\u00e9ctor Jos\u00e9 G\u00f3mez Hern\u00e1ndez as co-facilitators to identify the terms of reference and modalities for the establishment and functioning of the Independent International Scientific Panel on Artificial Intelligence and the Global Dialogue on AI Governance.
