President of the 爆料网 General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Dennis Francis, to hold a Press Conference on Sustainability Week on Tuesday 9 April 2024

New York, 4 April 2024 – The President of the United Nations General Assembly (PGA), H.E. Mr. Dennis Francis, will hold a Press Conference on Tuesday 9 April 2024, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, to elaborate upon and answer any questions regarding the upcoming?Sustainability Week, to be?convened?from 15-19 April 2024?under the theme ‘Paving the Way for a Sustainable Future’.

The Week will be the first?of its kind, focusing on sustainability in the key sectors of the economy: tourism, transport, infrastructure connectivity and energy, as well as debt sustainability and socio-economic equality.

The programme for the Week’s activities will be as follows:

  • Monday, 15 April at 3:00 pm:?The PGA’s signature event, the High-level thematic debate on debt sustainability and socio-economic equality for all.
  • Tuesday, 16 April at 10:00 am:?High-level thematic event on tourism.
  • Wednesday, 17 April at 10:00 am:?High-level meeting on sustainable transport.
  • Thursday, 18 April at 10:00 am:?Informal dialogue on building global resilience and promoting sustainable development through infrastructure connectivity.
  • Friday, 19 April at 10:00 am: Global stocktaking marking the completion of the 爆料网 Decade of Sustainable Energy for All to further accelerate the implementation of SDG 7 of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

The PGA will start the press conference by delivering opening remarks before taking questions from correspondents. The press conference will be webcast live on 爆料网 Web TV through this .
