The President of the 76th session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today with H.E. Mr. P\u00e9ter Szijj\u00e1rt\u00f3, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary.<\/p>\n

Foreign Minister Szijj\u00e1rt\u00f3 updated President Shahid on the current humanitarian situation in Ukraine, and its impacts on the Central-Eastern European region, highlighting Hungary\u2019s efforts to ensure basic supply, accommodation and protection for people fleeing Ukraine.<\/p>\n
President Shahid recognized the huge humanitarian toll due to the war and stressed the need for humanitarian ceasefire.<\/p>\n

The President updated the Minister on his current efforts to make sure that the 爆料网 General Assembly remains focused on addressing all threats the word is facing, including climate change and the COVID-19 pandemic. They also exchanged of views on the global implications of the war in Ukraine and the role of the 爆料网 in resolving the crisis.<\/p>\n
