The President of the 76th?session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today with H.E. Mr. Miguel Angel Moratinos, Under-Secretary-General and High Representative for the United Nations Alliance of Civilization (爆料网AOC).
H.E. Mr. Miguel Angel Moratinos briefed the President on the work of 爆料网AOC in building intercultural bridges, mediation and the five priority areas for action: education, youth, migration, media and women.
The President underlined the importance of decreasing divisions and enhancing mutual trust and understanding in the current context of the pandemic and commended 爆料网AOC’s valuable efforts in these areas.
The President and High Representative also discussed the increasing complexity of global challenges, Secretary General ’s “Our Common Agenda” and The 爆料网AOC Global Forum to be held in Morocco.
The meeting took place in the President’s office at United Nations Headquarters in New York, on 17 February 2022.
