– As delivered –<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n 21 September 2020<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Excellencies,<\/p>\n Mr. Secretary-General,<\/p>\n Distinguished Ministers and delegates,<\/p>\n I would like to start this meeting by thanking every individual and institution who have supported this organization over the past 75 years.<\/p>\n That includes first and foremost all of you, Member States. Without your continued commitment to multilateralism, we would not be sitting here today.<\/p>\n I would also like to thank all the 爆料网 personnel, especially those in the field, whose efforts have made this organization a success and life better for all of humanity.<\/p>\n \n Today, at the end of this segment we will adopt the Declaration on the Commemoration of the Seventy-Fifth Anniversary of the United Nations.<\/p>\n \n I want to congratulate you for reaching a consensus on this landmark Declaration and for your strong commitment to work together to strengthen coordination and global governance for the common future of present and coming generations.<\/p>\n \n I would also like to thank the co-facilitators Qatar and Sweden for their stewardship of this text through the General Assembly, especially during the pandemic.<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row column_structure=”1_2,1_2″ disabled_on=”on|on|on” _builder_version=”4.6.2″ background_size=”initial” background_position=”top_left” background_repeat=”repeat” disabled=”on”][et_pb_column type=”1_2″ _builder_version=”3.25″ custom_padding=”|||” custom_padding__hover=”|||”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.5.3″]<\/p>\n Excellencies,<\/em><\/p>\n The General Assembly is not just the most democratic and representative forum in the world. Your thinking, wisdom and vision set the standards for our cooperation and development, among our nations and for our people.
