United Nations, New York, 20 August 2018\u00a0<\/b>\u2013 The President of the 72nd session of the United Nations General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Miroslav Laj\u010d\u00e1k, will visit the Principality of Liechtenstein on 24 August, and participate in the European Forum Alpbach in Austria, on 25 and 26 August.<\/p>\n
In Vaduz, the President will meet with officials of the Principality of Liechtenstein, including: H.S.H. Hereditary Prince Alois von Liechtenstein; H.E. Ms Aurelia Frick, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Justice and Culture; and H.E. Mr. Albert Frick, President of the Parliament.<\/p>\n
While in the capital of Liechtenstein, President Laj\u010d\u00e1k will also attend a breakfast meeting with civil society representatives hosted by H.E. Mr. Martin Frick, Director of the Office for Foreign Affairs, on the role of philanthropy and civil society at the United Nations, as well as a lunch event on migration as part of the Sustainable Development Agenda hosted by the Foreign Minister.<\/span><\/p>\nIn Alpbach, Austria, President Laj\u010d\u00e1k will participate in the Political Symposium of the European Forum Alpbach 2018 under the theme \u201cDiversity and Resilience\u201d. On the margins of the Forum, he will also deliver opening remarks at a high-level retreat organized by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Austria entitled \u201cThe resilience of values: Reconciling diversity and universality\u201d and address a workshop on \u201cThe resilience of values: The role of national and multilateral institutions in strengthening the international system \u201d.<\/p>\n
The President will travel to Liechtenstein with his Communications Adviser, Ms. Katharina Kandt, and his Personal Assistant, Ms. Vanda \u0160ipo\u0161ov\u00e1 and. In Austria, the President will be joined by his Chef de Cabinet, Mr. Franti\u0161ek Ru\u017ei\u010dka, and Ms. Kandt.<\/p>\n
Travel costs will be covered by the Trust Fund of the Office of the President of the General Assembly, with some support being provided by the Governments of Austria and Liechtenstein.<\/p>\n
