Mar\u00eda \u00c1ngela Holgu\u00edn Cu\u00e9llar<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>They exchanged views on Colombia\u2019s experience with respect to peacemaking. The President underlined the inspiring nature of the peace process in Colombia, and encouraged all parties to remain committed to it as the country moves towards reintegrating former FARC-EP members into civilian life.<\/li>\n<li>The President emphasized that the international community must remain united in supporting Colombia in the implementation of the peace process.<\/li>\n<li>They also discussed current developments in the region.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong>PRESIDENT HIGHLIGHTS SIGNIFICANCE OF I.C.C. AHEAD OF ASSEMBLY MEETING<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The President of the General Assembly today met with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.un.org\/pga\/72\/2017\/10\/27\/meeting-with-president-of-the-international-criminal-court\/\">President of the International Criminal Court (ICC), Judge Silvia Fern\u00e1ndez de Gurmendi<\/a>. They discussed the activities of the Court over the last year.<\/li>\n<li>President Laj\u010d\u00e1k underlined the important role of the ICC in the international system and its contribution to strengthening accountability, protecting human rights and promoting the rule of law.<\/li>\n<li>The General Assembly will consider the annual report of the International Criminal Court on Monday, 31 October 2017.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong>PRESIDENT PRAISES NEPAL FOR CONTRIBUTIONS TO U.N. PEACEKEEPING<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The President met today with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.un.org\/pga\/72\/2017\/10\/27\/meeting-with-foreign-secretary-of-nepal\/\">E. Mr. Shankar Das Bairagi,\u00a0Foreign Secretary of Nepal<\/a>.
