The President of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Peter Thomson met with the Chair of the Third Committee, H.E. Ms. Mar\u00eda Emma Mej\u00eda V\u00e9lez, Permanent Representative of Colombia to the ±¬ÁÏÍø. They exchanged views on the agenda and the working methods of the Third Committee, as well as on mandated events. They agreed that ways should be explored on how to align the agenda of the General Assembly with the 2030 Agenda, with an emphasis on addressing synergies, coherence and complementarity, including between all main General Assembly Committees and between the GA and ECOSOC. The President of the General Assembly and the Chair of the Third \u00a0Committee confirmed their intention to continue their dialogue and mutual support throughout the 71st GA session.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
