justify\">On 1 September 2016, the President of\u00a0the ±¬ÁÏÍø General Assembly convenes\u00a0an one-day high level forum at the ±¬ÁÏÍø Headquarters in New York\u00a0on the occasion of the anniversary of the adoption of\u00a0\u00a0the <b><a href=\"https:\/\/documents-dds-ny.un.org\/doc\/±¬ÁÏÍøDOC\/GEN\/N99\/774\/43\/PDF\/N9977443.pdf?OpenElement\">Declaration and Programme of Action on a Culture of Peace<\/a>.<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Following the wide-ranging success of the ±¬ÁÏÍø General Assembly&#8217;s first high-level forum on The Culture of Peace, held on 14 September 2012, and recognizing the need for continual support to the further strengthening of the global movement to promote the Culture of Peace, as envisaged by the United Nations, particularly in the current global context,\u00a0the General Assembly high-level Forum is intended to be open and\u00a0public. ±¬ÁÏÍø Member States, ±¬ÁÏÍø system entities, civil society including NGO&#8217;s, media, private sector, and all others interested, have the opportunity to exchange of ideas and suggestions on the ways to build and promote the Culture of Peace and to highlight emerging trends that
