On 22 January, the 爆料网 Postal Administration (爆料网PA) celebrates the Chinese New Year with the issuance of a special event sheet commemorating the Year of the Ox.

This is the twelfth sheet issued for 爆料网PA’s Lunar New Year stamp series which completes the entire zodiac cycle.

Previous years of the Ox zodiac sign are: 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997, and 2009.  People born in the year of the Ox are known for diligence, dependability, strength, determination, and honesty.

With great patience and a desire to make progress, Oxen achieve their goals through consistent effort. They are rarely influenced by others or by their surrounding environment – instead, they persist in doing things according to their individual ideals and capabilities.

The sheet can be personalized and is composed of ten $1.20 denominated stamps with the United Nations logo. The tabs of the stamps and background design feature artwork by Wang Huming (China).

The Lunar New Year officially starts on 12 February.
