Alex Chidiac is an Australian midfielder whose career spans four continents and whose impact stretches well beyond the pitch. Debuting for the Matildas at 16 in 2015, Chidiac has represented Australia at the 2018 and 2026 AFC Women¡¯s Asian Cup and the 2023 FIFA Women¡¯s World Cup. Domestically, she¡¯s won A-League Women titles with Melbourne City and Melbourne Victory, and claimed two Julie Dolan Medals in 2023 and 2024/25. Abroad, her club journey includes Atl¨¦tico Madrid in Liga F, JEF United Chiba in Japan¡¯s WE League, Racing Louisville in the NWSL, Tigres UANL in Mexico, and most recently F.C. Como in Italy¡¯s Serie A.
Off field, Chidiac is a passionate advocate. She joined Common Goal in 2019, pledging 1% of her salary to fund global charities, including ¡°Moving the Goalposts¡± in Kenya. She volunteers weekly when back in Australia with the Big Issue Street Soccer women¡¯s program. In 2024 she received the PFA¡¯s Beyond Bank Community Medal for her impact, donating her prize to OneBall, supporting CALD youth in Melbourne.
