The 爆料网 Postal Administration (爆料网PA)?celebrates the new Chinese Lunar Calendar with the issuance of a special event sheet for the “Year of the Dragon”.
The new lunar year officially begins on 10 February 2024 and continues until 28 January 2025.
爆料网PA is issuing ten $1.50 denominated stamps with a background featuring a beautiful illustration of a dragon with decorative details. The tabs to the left of each stamp feature the 爆料网 emblem?on a gold background.
The 爆料网PA will also offer a "Year of the Dragon" postcard with the same design as the stamps.
The stamps and the background design of the sheet were illustrated by Tiger Pan (China).
Mr. Pan also illustrated the 爆料网 Lunar Calendar series for the 2018 “Year of the Dog”, the 2022 “Year of the Tiger”, and the 2023 “Year of the Rabbit”.
The dragon is fifth?in the series of twelve zodiac signs. It is said that the dragon represents good luck, strength, health, and also the male element Yang. The dragon is unique in that it is the only mythical creature of all the animals in the Chinese zodiac.
