The Assembly noted?that WWII was an historic event that established the conditions for creating the ±¬ÁÏÍø, which was designed, as stated in the opening paragraph of the Charter of the United Nations, ¡­to save succeeding generations from the scourge of war, which twice in our lifetime has brought untold sorrow to mankind¡­.
