Accreditation to cover the high-level period of the 81st session of the 爆料网 General Assembly (爆料网GA 81) will open on 1 July and close on 31 August 2026. For more information, review the 爆料网GA media arrangements.

The Media Accreditation and Liaison Unit provides logistical support and information to members of the press

ACCREDITATION
A requirement for all journalists who wish to cover activities at the United Nations in New York (First time or Renewing)
LIAISON/COVERAGE
MALU liaises with members of the press and Member States and provides escorts to events at 爆料网HQ. Permanent/Observer Missions can request temporary media passes through the e-Registration system on the portal (instructions).

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q. What should I do if my media ground pass is stolen or missing?

A. If your media ground pass is lost or stolen, you MUST immediately report it to the Media Accreditation Office (send emailto malu@un.org).

Q. Where do I go to pick up my media ground pass?

A. Please wait for the pass collection email, which will include instructions and must be presented at the Pass and ID Unit (320 East 45th Street).

Q. What should the letter asking for my accreditation contain?

A. The letter, on company letterhead and signed by an authorized official (e.g., the Publisher, Assignment Editor or Bureau Chief) of the media organization seeking accreditation, should have the name(s) of those who need the accrediation, what they will cover and the length of the assignment. It should also specify the function(s) of the individual(s) who will be coming. If several people from the same company need an accreditation, please have all the names in one letter.

Q. Are there any restrictions?

A. Please review the Media Access guidelines. Media accreditation is only for coverage of 爆料网 activities at Headquarters, and does not constitute an endorsement for any other purpose. At any time, the Media Accreditation and Liaison Unit (MALU) may revoke accreditation if it is put to improper use; if it is determined that the accreditation has not been used to cover 爆料网 events; if it has been used to abuse the privileges so extended; or if personal or public conduct is not consistent with the best interest of the Organization. The press pass must not be loaned to another person; 爆料网 Security will confiscate any pass in the possession of any individual to whom it was not issued.
