Overview

The workshop will provide a practical introduction to the WPP Data Portal and include hands-on exercises to help participants make the most of its capabilities. The portal is available at:

During the session, participants will learn how to:
•    Conduct custom searches by indicator, country or area, and time period;
•    Compare data across multiple regions, countries, and areas;
•    Create visualizations, including bar charts, line charts, and maps;
•    View empirical data alongside estimates and projections; and
•    Download data in a variety of formats for further analysis and reporting.

As an added bonus, we will briefly demonstrate other Population Division data resources relevant to population ageing, including the 2026 Household and Living Arrangements of Older Persons database and related datasets.
