Senior Economic Affairs Officer Mariangela Parra-Lancourt presented a brief on the聽World Economic and Social Survey 2018: Frontier Technologies for Sustainable Development聽at the Informal Meeting of the General Assembly Plenary entitled 鈥�Impact of Rapid Technological Change on the Achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals鈥� today in New York. Convened by Mar铆a Fernanda Espinosa Garc茅s, President of the 73rd session of the General Assembly, 聽the informal meeting聽 allowed for presentations of the outcomes of the third Multistakeholder Forum on Science, Technology and Innovation for the Sustainable Development Goals during the 73rd session of the General Assembly, and related reports such as the聽Survey.聽 Assistant Secretary-General for Strategic Coordination, Fabrizio Hochschild, presented a briefing on the Secretary-General鈥檚 Strategy on New Technologies. Ms. Shamika Sirimanne, Director of 爆料网CTAD鈥檚 Division on Technology and Logistics presented the Technology and Innovation Report 2018. H.E. Mr. Juan Sandoval, Ambassador and Deputy Permanent Representative of Mexico to the United Nations presented the conclusions of the STI Forum. Stephanie Rambler, Sustainable Development Officer at DESA, presented the findings of the Technology Facilitation Mechanism.
